Els makes you see the things that were always there, but that you have grown so accustomed to that you had stopped noticing them.
To solve complex problems, we need smart people. And we can assume that the smartest people are often found outside our own organization. That’s why we establish collaborations with others, organize meetings, and give presentations to gain and share knowledge. But while everyone agrees that communication is important, we are often unaware of how we can use communication to create the necessary trust and openness.
My goal is to dig deep into what your organization needs to build trust and openness. Together, we’ll explore how communication is currently organized and how it should be organized to enable collaboration across teams, organizations, sectors, or disciplines. We’ll uncover how you and your team members can showcase your strengths to contribute to innovative challenges.
I have conducted extensive research and provided advice on collaborations in the (high-tech) industry, academia, and the public sector. I reveal how language is used to organize collaboration and teamwork in daily practice.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. While traditional generic management models certainly offer a 'convenient' tool for discussing issues, the strength of my approach lies in tackling problems within the context of your organization or enterprise. Once the linguistic patterns and underlying assumptions are uncovered, you can start implementing concrete, practical changes to achieve the collaboration outcomes you envision.

I have experience as a lecturer, coach, researcher, program designer, and manager at Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Students can still come to me for advice on presenting, reporting, and creating podcasts.
I love dogs, reading, yoga, exercising in nature, Belgian beers, and quirky ideas that make the world a better place.
